The standards of our American culture are going in the wrong direction. It’s not because of reality shows like “The Kardashians”, “Mob Wives”, “Jersey Shore”, and “The Real Housewives of Any City”; shows which project fighting, swearing, excesses, drinking, etc. as common, routine, and acceptable. Standards decline because Parents don’t hold up their responsibilities to counter these projections of very bad behavior.
Why? Too many parents are ineffective.
Why so? These parents are tired, overwhelmed, under-educated and without examples/mentors.
Why so? Too many parents are working alone, or avoiding their parental responsibilities, or too busy with economic struggle?
Why so? Too many current parents were raised in similar environments.
Why? Everyone talks about the decline of the family but too few are doing anything about it!
After asking five "whys", you get to the root issue of most problems.
Why? Too many parents are ineffective.
